Aims and Scope

Lessons from Research in Language Teaching and Learning (RiLTaL) is a double-blind refereed international journal. This academic journal serves as a window to both theoretical and empirical studies which inform second/foreign language education in particular. RiLTaL is a multidisciplinary journal in scope and publishes original empirical research, critical reviews, case studies, book reviews, etc. and covers a wide range of topics in the area of language education.

The scope of the journal primarily focuses on key areas of research in second and foreign language teaching and learning including theories and practice in language education, teaching methodologies, innovative approaches to language instruction and learning, curriculum development and syllabus design, teacher education, professional development, language planning, language assessment, program evaluation, and linguistics as well. The journal seeks to provide a forum for researchers, educators, student teachers and other stakeholders in the realm of language education to disseminate their knowledge throughout the world.
